Ora Elizabeth (Gamble) Spangler

Funeral services for Mrs. Ora E. Spangler, 825 1st NW, who was killed with her daughter, Mrs. Martha Jo Landers in the tornado Friday afternoon, will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday in Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Cox officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Spangler, 74, was born November 5, 1907, in Bowie County, a daughter of William H. Gamble Abbie May Miller Gamble. She attended schools in Hopewell and married Dave F. Spangler on July 12, 1925. He died in 1960. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Irene) Bennett of Dallas; one son, David I. Spangler, of Dallas; three grandchildren whom she reared, Larry Spangler and Jerry Spangler of Paris and Mrs. Glenda Fulton of Hope, Ark.;14 other grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Rosa Mason of Ponder, Mrs. Grace Gronka of Claude and Mrs. Edith Lee of Ranger; and two brothers, Austin Gamble of Clarksville and Virgil Gamble of Lake Whitney.
