Spangler Genealogy

I don't know a tremendous amount about my Spangler line, but I am starting to learn quite a bit more. I have a cousin, Dorothy Landers Fisher, who has done research on the Spangler line since back in the 1980s. I originally used her research as a guide to get me going.

As I began to research, I discovered other cousins and with their help I have been able to extend that research even further. Even though my Spangler line only goes back to my 3X-Great Grandparents, I have found tons of info on all the descendants of my 3X-Great-Grandfather, Gideon Spangler.

Unfortunately, nobody seems to be able to get past Gideon Spangler. I'm hoping to eventually break down this wall but for the time being that will be my end point here.

Eventually, I will add my documentation, clarify some dates, and extend this a little further. If you notice any errors or omissions, please email me and let me know!

Spangler, as far as I know, is of German heritage. I spent some time in Germany while I was in the Army and the people there pronounced our name like "Spon-gler". I'm not sure when it started being pronounced as "Spain-gler"

My Complete Line:

Click on the link above to check out my complete line. Just as it says, it is complete. You will find everything that I know and it will branch out as far as I can. The only limitations is that it will not branch out to the Gamble side. There is a separate section for that line!
