Genealogy Toolbox
Mar 8th, 2008 by admin
Well, I’ve been giving thought to this for a long time and I guess it is time to finally take some action. I have decided to add a page that will highlight some of my favorite genealogy tools. I have used many different tools to help me with my research and I believe that they can also be helpful to others. Here you will find tools I use for my web page design, for my blog, for capturing screen images, email, researching, image manipulation, sharing my images and more. Some are software packages and will link to the home page for the software developer. Some will be websites that are very valuable to me and help me to do my research. There will be no links to database sites because most of the big database sites are sites you have to pay for.
I must also acknowledge that one of the main catalysts for this idea was the recent carnival of genealogy. I discovered a lot of tools I had never heard of before and have since put them to use in my research and thought it would be nice to share, not only those programs, but all of the programs that I find useful. I hope you enjoy this venture.
