Slowly Returning To Normal

Well, after dealing with my first week back I think I would love to go back on vacation again!
I’ve continued to fight this virus thing, which is why I haven’t done much on the Internet. Not only because I needed to get rid of the virus but also because I didn’t want to spread it to anyone. I don’t know about anyone else but as soon as I realize that there is a virus on my computer, the first thing I do is make sure my virus definitions are up to date and then I completely unplug my connection! I don’t want to be the cause of spreading anything!
Anyways, I finally resorted to wiping my hard drive completely! No worries, everything was backed up on another hard drive and it scanned completely free of any virus! One good thing that came from that is that I was able to finally just take the time to update my Windows for the first time in who knows when! I now have the most up to date version of Windows I have had in a long time. Yes, I must confess that I don’t have automatic updates turned on. Could that be why I kept getting viruses? Perhaps, but I find it annoying to keep having pop-ups that say I have to restart my computer 4 and 5 times a day because of Windows updates. Geez, why doesn’t Microsoft ever release something that isn’t bug infested?
So, now I am hopefully back in business. I’ll try to get my vacation logs posted soon. Heck, it will probably be refreshing to me just to be able to print it out and relive it all again. I need another vacation.
As an aside, I need to take the time to apologize to Jasia and footnoteMaven for missing so many carnivals lately. I have always enjoyed participating and find it is very discouraging (to me) for me to miss them. I will try to get back into the swing of things soon.
Oh, one more thing, for all those on Facebook who are inviting me to this and that, please bear with me while I sort through the many things that I have to sort through on there.
Have a great week everyone!

We’ve missed you Ken! So glad you’re back. The COG will be waiting when you’re ready. Facebook… fah get ah bah dit!
