Beyond Fiction

Hi everyone!

I think it is time for me to check in again.

I’ve been very busy getting ready for my trip to North Carolina. The days are numbered. At the time of this writing I am only 5 days away from leaving! I have gotten to the point that I have a hard time sleeping anymore because I am so excited!

I must take the time to apologize to the few loyal readers I have! I know I have not posted as I should and I know that I have missed several blog carnivals lately. Life has been very different for me since moving into my new apartment. The biggest change for me is that I no longer have a home office. It was there that I did most of my research, writing and posting and all kinds of other ideas. Now I have a little corner of our bedroom with a kitchen chair and one bookshelf and a small file cabinet. All my genealogy stuff is still packed in boxes and I still haven’t hooked up my scanner yet as I don’t have a clue where I will put it. Being as I am in the bedroom, when I get home at 2:30 in the morning I can’t really do much because my wife is sleeping right behind me. I sit in the dark and just kind of surf!

I am hoping that when we get back from our trip I will be able to change some of those things. I am looking at an opportunity to go back on to day shift and that will allow me to get back to a normal life. Of course, with less time planning trips and more time to devote to research I should be able to get some new posts and such going.

I do really miss blogging and have let my  Facebook account go by the wayside. However, by the end of August I will try to be different. I am considering changing the way that my blog works. I am still debating with myself about it but I believe that what I have in mind would be nice. I am off Thursday and will try to post about it before leaving.
