Stella Mae (Ferguson) Hicks Death Certificate

I just wanted to share the death certificates for Stella Ferguson and George Hicks with you. I had posted earlier about the posting of images from the Family Search Labs but as Ruth at Bluebonnet Country Genealogy put it, it’s all offered freely and so it shouldn’t be a problem. So here is the death certificate for Stella Mae (Ferguson) Hicks. It will help you to see how I am able to generate leads from the different sources I have been able to use in finding the descendants of my elusive great-uncle, Martin Isaic Spangler.
I found family search myself and found these exact certificates…I am doing some research on my mother’s side of the family as well as her father’s side. There are some interesting stories behind this all…For instance… Sterlin Murrel, george and stella’s son-in-law is the man who cleaned up the house after the tragic ordeal, and Stella’s mother has indicated to several people in the family that she didn’t believe that George killed Stella. That she, Stella’s mother, suspected Sterlin Murrel to have been possibly the one who murdered them both and made it look like a murder/suicide. Now this is just hearsay from Stella’s mother, but I thought you might be interested in some more of the background. Are these people a part of your family as well? But then Georgie Mae, Stella and George’s daughter, and also my grandmother has stated that her father was a very jealous man and could have possibly killed her in a fit of rage. I would be very interested if you could contact me and we could discuss more details…..There are more interesting stories in my family that I have tried to research with no luck. Thank you very much!
