		<description>Your mom sounds like a treasure!  It sounds as if she had a very difficult upbringing - perhaps without a mom and with many siblings, she never felt "special" enough to want to share herself too much.  But it sounds as if she loves her children immensely.  Thanks for sharing the story of your mom and one of her poems.</description>

		<description>Ah, a wonderful and honest article Ken. Let me say first that in both photos of your mom I see insight. She may be a woman who didn't aspire to great things but I'll bet she knew a lot more than she let on to others. I sense that from her pictures. And then there's you, living proof of her ability to love and nurture and raise a family. She may not have been confident of what she was doing but she sure got it right!</description>

I don't think an education makes you a better person,
although there are so many people who think that.
A lot of people have forgotten where their families came from.
There were stuggles and misfortune, they pass over this and
write about what they want others to see, but not the REAL
