A Very Useful Script
May 10th, 2008 by kenopoly

I know I usually just write about my family research and such but today I wanted to let everyone in on a script that I have found very useful for my web site. I really don’t know if it could be incorporated into a blog or not but I’m sure if it could you all would find a way.
The script I am talking about is Huggins’ Email Form Script. In its normal state it is basically just that, an email script. The script I am using is one that has been converted so that it results in a Family Group Sheet Form. I’m not sure where I picked it up from but if anyone knows, please inform me so I can give them credit.
I have found this script and form to be so very useful. I’ve had several cousins hook up with me through my site and send me their info via this form. You can see it in action here. I won’t fret if anyone decides to try it and accidentally sends me something. It wouldn’t be the first time.
I hope that someone finds this useful. I know it is something I was very glad to find and that has been very useful for me.
Have a great weekend everyone!

First, thank you for referencing the script I wrote and for including a link to the script page: http://www.jamesshuggins.com/h/web1/huggins-email-form-script.htm
For anyone who needs it, there is also a SHORT link to the page at:
http://JSH.us/hefs
Also, for anyone who uses it, I STRONGLY recommend subscribing to the update bulletin at:
http://JSH.us/hefs-bulletin.
I use the update bulletin to keep people advised of new versions which correct bugs and add improvements. For example, right now I’m working on a BETA version that allows a more customized error page and also uploads a CSV file with the form information.
I’m always looking for comments and suggestions, so never feel bashful about asking for something.
