An Anniversary Missed!
May 4th, 2008 by kenopoly
Recently, while reading through many of my favorite blogs, I noticed that quite a few folks were having 1 and 2 year anniversaries on their blogs. I thought to myself “What a great accomplishment” and truly it is for all those who have had that opportunity.
I began to think about when my blogging anniversary would be and took a quick look and realized that I had already had one! March 27, 2007 is when I posted my first article on Beyond Fiction. Does that upset me? Heck no! I am glad that my “blog-iversary” came and went without notice!
One thing I try to pride myself in is that I am not all about stats. I know that I don’t write a new blog daily or, as some folks, post 2 or 3 or 4 or more new articles daily. That is not and will not ever be what pushes me. There are times in my life when my blogging has to take a back seat. I’m glad to say that I am able to do that.
Don’t get me wrong. I love to blog and share my experiences with my fellow genea-bloggers. I have learned so much from so many in my short time of blogging. I would love to be able to post 4 or more articles everyday! However, I think that one post every now and then is just fine. It’s not the quantity it is the quality. Now, that is not saying that all my posts are quality posts. I’ve had my share of posts that I would rather just take back, but once it is posted it is posted.
So, my congratulations go out to all those who recently had an anniversary on their blogs. I am glad to be able to say, as footnoteMaven puts it, I am no longer a blogling! It’s been a wonderful year (plus some) and I look forward to many more!
Thanks to everyone who helped and pushed and encourage me during this time!

Congrats on outgrowing your blogling outfit
