Progress Halted!

Well, I’ve been excited all week. I’ve been making such good progress on getting my photos organized and finally being able to have some sort of way of starting to scan them all. Now, I’ve been shot down in flames!
I was chronicling my efforts in sorting my photos in this article and also in this article. Today I was getting ready to put in my pictures from 1997 and realized that something didn’t seem right. I then realized that half of the pictures I had for that year were actually earlier than that. So, you have to go back and resort again! Oh well, at least it’s not going to be that bad.
But wait! Today, I noticed an old suitcase (more like a makeup case) sitting on my bookshelf and decided to look inside. There were at least 500 pictures in there. Probably twice that much. To make matters worse, they are all from early 1990 to 1994. Good grief! So what to do now? I think I will do what I normally do. I will sit them aside for a moment and start again next weekend.
If you read my COG article about traits, you will know that I am better off setting something to the side than getting upset about it. That is probably the best bet right now. I have a lot of things coming up in the near future anyway so I need to focus on them right now. I have to renew my domain address, renew my web hosting, and try to finish setting up my MediaWiki on my domain. I also have a long list of photo requests in my area for Find-A-Grave. Of course, I could stand to spend a little time wrapping up some things on Ancestry because my subscription will expire in about 2 weeks and I really don’t have the money to renew it right now.
So, my photo preservation is on hold! Let’s hope that it is not for too long.
I hope everyone is doing better than I am and that you all have a wonderful week!!!
