Hello! My name is Ken Spangler, if you haven't figured that out yet! :-)
I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and currently reside in Havelock, North Carolina!
I LOVE genealogy! To me, family is one of the most interesting things in the world. I'm not always 100% close to all my family and sometimes I feel like a total outcast but I wouldn't take for any of my family members!

I decided to start KenSpangler.com as a way of sharing my life and my family with others. If you love something enough you want to show it off, right? I had originally started a site called The Forbes-Stevenson Genealogy Home Page but it limited me to just my maternal research. I wanted a site that didn't limit me and this is it!

The main purpose of this site is to show off my genealogy research and share it with everyone! However, this site is so much more than just genealogy. At first glance you may question that statement but if you will indulge me I will explain! This site will also eventually be the place where I can show off my children, my grandchildren and share my hopes, dreams and schemes. I will share my love of old-school video games and how I manage to keep in touch with that. I will share my love of music, movies and many other things.

Will the other things eventually overshadow the genealogy? I doubt it because the genealogy is so big! However, sharing the other things will help you to see me as a real person, not just another author of another genealogy site.
